HOW TO
CONSTRUCT A SOUND MODERATOR AT HOME ?

PURPOSE
:-
This sound moderator can be used for
producing Echo (returning
back of sound after striking back from the open areas).
NOTE:-
· This Sound Moderator can be used even in a
closed room.
· This moderator is extremely affordable and can
be constructed using the household items present at home.
HOW
TO CONSTRUCT ?
NOTE
:-
· Don’t perform these steps without the supervision
of an expert or parents at home only.
First step, to construct this sound moderator is to take
a small plastic bottle and then fill it with a tablespoon of sugar, small cup of water and a tablespoon of black
salt.
Second step , take a flexible straw and place one stick
from the broom stick and bend it through the hole of the straw
Third step, take a tissue paper and put it inside the
bottle filled with a mixture of water, sugar and black salt.
Fourth step, make a hole through a lighted mathstick or
iron stick with puncturing it by a small lock or small hammer in the bottle cap
and insert the straw after placing one stainless iron stick into the flexible
straw which will act as a base for the second iron stick , the second iron
stick with a hole and bend it by a plier (or plass ) after inserting it through
the hole made in the bottle cap.
Fifth step , take a coloured disposable glass or even a transparent
one and make a hole with a pencil and put the iron stick after bending it
through the hole of the disposable glass.
Sixth step, seal the bottle cap with a transparent
cellotape and also cover the glass with the cellotape by cutting it by a
scissor and fix a mini magnifying glass ( mini magnifying glass can be made by
using a loop of thread and transparent cellophane sheet ) into the sidemost
corner of the plastic glass.
Seventh step, cut the pieces in small rhombus shape from the
cover of the soap or the lock.
Eighth step, place the pieces on the side of the mini
magnifying glass.
HOW
THIS SOUND MODERATOR WORKS ?
This sound moderator works when a
person speaks into the glass and the mini magnifying glass operates as the
refraction ( a phenomenon of splitting of sound waves through the lens) of
sound coming back from the disposable glass and the pieces of the rhombus shape
from the lock cover further creates frictuion of the sound waves coming back ,
the tissue paper balances the frequency of the sound and the mixture of sugar,
water and black salt functions as the vibrating fluid.
